The ideal place for the camera is 18 inches to 2 feet from the top. Then, leave the flash on the camera to get the best exposure to the room.

When it comes to taking a shoot for a nice window view, it is the combination of ambient shot and flash shot. First of all, we recommended shooting thrice for the windows. It is time for you to deal with many lights coming through the window. Just ensure enough exposure for the windows. The key to success is to point a high-powered flash directly at the window frames. It is not only the best way to get the best window exposure but also an easy way to make the blending process. For window shots, the goal is to reduce minimum the flash reflections. Then you should experiment with shooting images at varied angles. You can also choose to eliminate them, but turn off your flash and shoot one without the flash. Bear in mind that not change the camera exposure setting at all.
